Project Narrative
GWTT was contracted to design, build, and install a total fluids extraction and treatment system at an active tank farm. The system consisted of air-operated pumps to depress the water table around the LNAPL plume, air-operated product recovery pumps for free product extraction, and a soil vapor extraction (SVE) blower to pull a vacuum on selected wells to aid with LNAPL movement and recovery. All water and product were directed to a 20 GPM conex-box-based treatment system that consisted of an explosion proof rated section to house the oil/water separator, transfer pumps, air stripper, bag filters, SVE blower, and knock out tank. A separate non-classified section housed the air compressor to operate the air pumps as well as all the system controls. Outside, liquid and vapor carbon vessels were utilized for final liquid and air treatment prior to discharge.
